Crysol CU 132, our branded solvent, is a perfect substitute for Trichloroethylene (TCE) and Carbon Tetrachloride (CTC). Crysol CU 132 is a versatile solvent, which is rapidly replacing other cleaning processes such as emulsion cleaning, alkaline cleaning and steam cleaning. Several industries including automobile, auto-ancillary, electrical, electronics, watch, telephone, aeronautical, defense and engineering industries have begun using this product.

Monoethylene Glycol (MEG)

Monoethylene Glycol is manufactured using in-house technology and excellent quality control. Monoethylene Glycol is a clear, colourless, syrupy liquid with a sweet taste. It is a relatively non-volatile, odourless liquid which is miscible with water.

Triethylene Glycol (TEG)

Triethylene Glycol, TEG, is a straight-chain dihydric alcohol aliphatic compound terminated on both ends by a hydroxyl group. It is a clear, practically colourless and odourless hygroscopic liquid at room temperature. TEG is used as a dehydrating agent for natural gas, a solvent and lubricant in textile, dyeing and printing industries, as a plasticizer, as a raw material for the production of polyester resins, as humectants and is a constituent of hydralic fluids.

What is Crystal India?

Founded in the year 1975, as a company manufacturing industrial solvents, today Crystal India is over 37 years old and is still growing. The company’s leading product is Crysol CU® 132, an effective metal degreasing specialty chemical that is a widely used solvent in a number of industries nationally and internationally.

Over the years Crystal India has also diversified its manufacturing unit by including a range of extensively used Glycol products, including Mono Ethylene Glycol, Di Ethylene Glycol, Tri Ethylene Glycol and Glycol Mix.

2,500 MTs of Crysol CU® 132 is annually manufactured, while the combined annual output of our Glycol products (MEG, DEG, TEG, Glycol Mix) is seen at 12,000 MTs.

 

Growth and Expansion

Crystal India originally began with an annual manufacturing capacity of 600 MTs and since then this capacity has been increased 20 times over to 12,000 MTs and will be steadily rising owing to consistent ongoing expansion.

With steady growth and expansion over the years, Crystal India has also increased its storage capacity of raw material 7 times over, from 300 MTs to 2,100 MTs.

Moreover, with the new expansion in place, manufacturing capacity will increase to an annual 20,000 MTs.

Currently Crystal India employees a workforce of 60 personnel within its 3 manufacturing units, which will steadily grow to 75 personnel with the current expansion in place at the Dombivali site.

With such steady growth, our consumer base is constantly increasing and consequently our turnover. Currently, the annual turnover is approximately Rs 70 crore and it is estimated to reach the mark of Rs 100 crores by the end of financial year 2014-2015, as per current growth rate of the company.

 

Marketing

Crystal India originally started to market its products to the local Indian market, such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Assam, Tamil Nadu, etc., initially with Crysol CU® 132 and then later with the Glycol Products (MEG, DEG, TEG & Glycol Mix).

The sole proprietor, Mr. Ashok Mehra, has lead his highly efficient and talented marketing team, together with Mr. Aditya Mehra (Techno Commercial Manager) and Mr. Birottam Bhattacharjee (Commercial Manager), to achieve international recognition and consequently Crystal India caters to international clients as well, such as exporting its products to South Africa, Bangladesh, Indonesia, United Kingdom etc.

The company presently has reached the mark of having a cliental exceeding over 500. With the expansion project on its way, it is expected that the company will increase its cliental to 1,000 by the end of year 2015.

 

Future Plans

Crystal India is presently experiencing a rate of growth at 30% and thus the future looks highly promising. Under the efficient and capable leadership of sole proprietor, Mr. Ashok Mehra (Techno Commercial Expert) and his management, intensive plans for growth are being implemented.

Crystal India is continuously looking to expand its manufacturing capacity and storage capacity, which in turns gives the company an ever-increasing turnover.
